Out there, in the dark, the sea is smouldering in. 

Each day is a lifetime if you look close. A tiny, new-born world. 

I put my hand on my chest. I pledge allegiance to it.

Like a smoke detector looking for a fire, I go walking.

There’s so much to tell you, but this time around I’ll show you.

The seat belt across your chest. The music on the radio. The chlorine in your eye. Summer is here, and there, and everywhere.

Beauty is in limited supply–but ugly? Ugly is infinite.
